Bio
Marla S. Rudnick’s skills of knitting and metal work fused into an exploration of knitting precious metals into wearable art. Her knitting creates a metal fabric which can be formed into sculpture and adornments for the body. She has trained at Fleischer Art Memorial in Philadelphia, Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, CT, Philadelphia College of Art and The Craft Alliance in Saint Louis, MO. Marla received an Honorable Mention in 2007 for her collar Petals and a Guild Award in 2009 for her necklace Transition from the Creative Craft Council of Washington, DC. She won a Jurors Recognition for her necklace Spiral from the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths Biennial Exhibition Metalwork 2015,
Marla’s work can be seen at the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery in the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA
